04/15/14 Bite is picking up in the chilly weather!

By April 15, 2014 Fishing Report

We have had a couple chilly windy days here, but the bite has been picking up since the weekend. Best places to try: The Grade on Big Spirit Lake, Buffalo Run, East/West Trestle Bridge, Triboji, West Lake Canals or Harbor for Crappies & Bluegills. Lagoons, Canals, & other places sheltered & the water warms up quicker. Bass are the same, they start moving up shallow on the rocks. Put you boat in front of Templar & in front of the Harbor! As you can see the Walleye are starting to take a bite. Look forward to an amazing Walleye Opener! Best to use R.C. Hair Jigs with wax worm or wiggler or Small Minnows for the panfish on a Bobber! Best to have BOTH with you! Black Gnat, Nat, Black/Red, Whites are good colors that are selling well right now. Hopping around is the fun of it this time of year! We have the cheapest R.C. Jigs in the IGL’s, load up!
The DNR has started the Walleyes & Musky at the Fish Hatchery! Snap a few pics of your catch & email to us -Thanks!
